Responsible Gaming
Gaming Should Be Entertainment
At Mr Black Coffee, we believe sports betting should be an enjoyable form of entertainment, not a way to earn money or solve financial problems. Betting always carries risk, and you should only wager money you can afford to lose.
Remember: The odds are always in favor of the sportsbook. No betting strategy guarantees winnings.
Age Verification
Sports betting in Canada is restricted to individuals who are 18 years of age or older (or the legal age of majority in your province). Mr Black Coffee is committed to preventing underage gambling.
If you are under the legal age, please do not participate in sports betting activities. We verify ages and reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this requirement.
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can affect anyone. Please be honest with yourself. Do any of these apply to you?
- Chasing losses: Betting more money to recover losses
- Hiding gambling: Keeping betting activity secret from family or friends
- Loss of control: Unable to stick to betting limits you set
- Neglecting responsibilities: Missing work, school, or family commitments due to gambling
- Borrowing money: Taking loans or using credit to fund betting
- Lying about gambling: Misleading others about the extent of your betting
- Mood changes: Becoming irritable, anxious, or depressed when unable to bet
- Tolerance: Needing to bet larger amounts to feel the same excitement
- Relationship problems: Arguments with loved ones over gambling
- Failed attempts to quit: Repeatedly trying and failing to cut back or stop
If you recognize any of these signs, help is available.
Self-Help Tools & Player Protection
Most responsible sportsbooks offer tools to help you maintain control. These may include:
- Deposit Limits: Set a maximum amount you can deposit within a time period
- Loss Limits: Set a maximum amount you're willing to lose
- Reality Checks: Receive reminders about how long you've been betting
- Self-Exclusion: Temporarily or permanently ban yourself from betting
- Betting Breaks: Take a mandatory break from betting activities
- Account Closure: Permanently close your account if needed
We encourage you to use these tools proactively. Contact customer support if you need assistance setting up any protection measures.
